WELCOME to the HTS Functional Analysis Core Facility at Academia Sinica

The HTS Functional Analysis Core Facility was established at Genomics Research Center in 2006 under the leadership of Professor Chi-Huey Wong. The mission is to assist investigators in functional discoveries, target identification, and metabolic pathway explorations through the high-throughput investigation of huge structural and molecular space. In 2025, we were promoted to be a member of Academia Sinica Core Facilities. 

The core facility applies high-density experimental design with automated equipment to rapidly test thousands to millions of samples for biological activity in the model organism, or at the cellular, pathway, or molecular level.

The main service is to provide an integrated one-stop solution for designing and conducting functional analysis in a high-throughput format. Four compound libraries were designed for small-molecule screening in general. Options for customized libraries are also available. The core will also provide services for liquid handling systems and high-speed fractionation of natural product extracts.

高通量功能分析核心設施為基因體中心在2006年在翁啟惠院士的領導下為協助國內外在化學生物上的研究而成立，於2025年加入全院性核心設施計畫。 

核心設施主要提供快速且精準的微量液體分注技術；提供小分子庫配合高通量篩選委託服務，可迅速分析數千至百萬樣品的生物活性，協助研究人員進行分子功能探索及確效。

本核心設施主要服務項目為提供高通量實驗設計及執行的一站式服務。研究人員可提供實驗樣品進行微量液體分注；在小分子篩選方面，我們設計了四個不同的小分子庫(含基本的FDA-approved drug collection)提供使用。另一方面，我們亦規畫提供多樣功能分析平台，鼓勵研究人員使用自有分子庫進行生物活性分析，協助增加化合物的應用範圍並提升化合物的價值。本核心設施也提供相關儀器及高速天然物分離純化服務以加速天然物功效探討。
