Plate Imager & Readers
The signals of plates can be read by high-speed plate imager and readers.
High-speed image reader: Viewlux(Perkin Elmer)
act, over 150 ViewLux systems have been installed in all major pharmaceutical and many biotech companies worldwide.
The ViewLux system features telecentric lens technology, which maximizes light collection from the sample plate and increases sensitivity while decreasing parallax error that can result from wells being at different distances from the lens. Because the ViewLux imager generates both image and numerical data, it provides users with additional insight into their biology. Featured with the next generation of low-maintenance Peltier-cooled, CCD camera technology, the ViewLux imager eliminates the need for a cryogenic cooling system for more sensitive detection.
The system performs luminescence, fluorescence, time-resolved fluorescence, absorbance and fluorescence polarization which makes it perfectly suited to a wide variety of today’s fastest non-radioactive and radioactive assay technologies. The system shows excellent correlation between results from 384- and 1536-well plates, allowing easy assay miniaturization, and with the ability to read a 1536-well plate in 30 seconds, the system can manage throughputs in excess of 200,000 samples per hour under continuous operation. The ViewLux imager can also handle plates in a 3456-well format.
pherastar(BMS biotech)
The PHERAstar® FSX is a sensitive multi-mode reader for high-throughput screening, combining this sensitivity with fast read times. Thanks to the unique Optic Module system, Simultaneous Dual Emission, UV/vis spectrometer, AAS System, and dedicated AlphaScreen® and TRF lasers, the PHERAstar FSX will perform the assay with ease and speed, even in 3456-well microplates.
clariostar-plus (bmg biotech)
The CLARIOstar® Plus is a flexible multi-mode plate reader. It comes equipped with the patented LVF Monochromators™, filters, and spectrometer. Flexibility combined with the best sensitivity of its class, and newly developed Enhanced Dynamic Range technology, make it the ideal reader for assay development.
